Having worked with some of my butterfly photos with Lavender butterflies I wanted to mix more of my photos of butterflies with my new drawings of the female figure. I had several ideas, but either the figure didn’t work when I embossed it or the butterflies just didn’t look right, getting the scale, mood, colour shape right means I have gotten through a lot of paper.
This print has taken a huge amount of time to get right, but I am now really pleased with how it looks and I think it gets the feel of what I wanted across.
Thankfully I was able to get it ready in time for Pulse. I had so many positive comment and it sold several times over.
